The Power of Art finals
FireFit Hub in Toxteth, Liverpool ... the place to be on Friday 11 October 2019!
On that date and there we shared the outcomes of our Power of Art project with many youth workers, social workers, some educators, people from the Liverpool art scene... What a joy to see so many interested in our creative methods, developed to help young people develop their soft skills!
The workshops were well attended and everyone seemed eager to learn, to share ideas and experiences. During the lunch we noticed that people from the UK and the Netherlands grouped together. We could not follow all conversations, but quite a few were about work and work experiences. At the end of the day we got not only very enthusiastic feedback, but also some questions. One of these was about how to implement our creative method when you're dealing with an organisation that is not open to new ways of working with young people. A difficult one to answer. It will take good results and time to convince people of the benefits of creative methods like ours, we guess.
At the end of the day we left FireFit Hub in an optimistic and happy mood; optimistic, because we do think our method will inspire people and happy because all went well. A big thank you to Brouhaha and FireFit Hub!
